Between January 1st, 2019 and December 31, 2019, the number of men and women released from Nebraska prisons was 1,979! This does not count the number released from County Jails, or Drug and Veteran Court ordered facilities.
These men and women have numerous obstacles to face as they reenter society. Obstacles such as finding someone to hire them and rent to them with a criminal record. Bridges to Hope helps alleviate some of the stressors of reentry by providing them with tangible items necessary to start a new home. Items that have been donated by community members such as yourselves.
However, it is not just tangible items we need to serve the reentrants. We need financial assistance as well to maintain our warehouse in which all the items are stored.
